Start with the prep
Remove existing finishes as needed. Clean and brighten the wood, remove mill glaze, rinse and dry fully. Apply thinly and back-brush excess; test the color first.

Before you start
- Exterior wood only; the wood must be unsealed and absorbent.
- Apply at 40–90°F, away from direct sun and hot surfaces; avoid rain for 24 hours.
- Do not thin or leave puddles; too much finish can peel or crack.
- This is the water-based No. 501 product, not the penetrating-oil formula.
